This policy explains how SmartFormify handles data deletion for accounts, forms, submissions, and exports. It reflects how deletion is processed in our systems, including trash retention and permanent removal.
When an account deletion request is submitted, access is disabled immediately and the request is queued for permanent removal.
Active paid subscriptions: You must cancel any active paid subscription before requesting account deletion.
31-day grace period: Account data is scheduled for permanent deletion after 31 days from the request.
What gets removed: Owned account data, forms, submissions, exports, attachments, storage files, membership records, and authentication records.
Deleting a form moves it to Trash first. Trashed forms can be restored until they are permanently deleted.
Soft delete: Forms are marked as deleted and moved to Trash.
Trash retention: Trashed forms are queued for permanent deletion after 90 days.
Permanent deletion: When purged, the form and associated responses, exports, comments, and attached files are deleted.
Form submissions (responses) can also be soft-deleted and restored before permanent removal.
Soft delete: Responses are marked as deleted and moved to Trash.
Trash retention: Trashed responses are queued for permanent deletion after 90 days.
Permanent deletion: When purged, responses, comments, and file uploads linked to that response are deleted.
Export files are automatically cleaned up.
Retention period: Export files older than 30 days are automatically deleted.
